Really, Another adventure blog?! Why?
Why go where everyone else goes? We want you to explore where the crowds don't, visit wonderful places with amazing views that DON'T make you feel like you're standing in line at the supermarket. Have you done Eagle Creek, Angels Rest, Dog Mountain...now stop it and find something new with more bang for the buck (or ROI in corporate terms) it's not hard and you just may learn something and enjoy some peace and quiet. There's nothing like standing all by yourself on the summit of Wind Mtn looking over at the hordes on top of Dog Mtn.
We believe that infusing our modern lives with a little of the natural world does us immeasurable good. Pacific North-Westerners, and our visitors, have an amazing target-rich environment for adventuring, you could do something new every week of your life and never run out of awesome places to go. It soothes the soul provides shared experiences and teaches without words. And don't think you have to do anything crazy,... you don't. This is a process that goes as far as you want to take it. So as long as you push your personal boundaries a little, get out into our unique and beautiful natural areas and take the time to really see, hear and breath in the real world you are doing everything right. Whether you are walking Tryon Creek by Lake Oswego OR, day hiking Loowit Falls on Mount St Helen's or backpacking Diamond Peak in Central Oregon you can have a nurturing wilderness experience. The goal is to start small and just go as far as you feel comfortable each year.
We would like to help inspire and motivate more people, and especially couples, to get out and see our breathtaking world we live in and have a richer and healthier life. Forget the elliptical, go walk up a mountain.
